Want to rock the high ponytail that Dee Devlin opted for at last year’s Peter Mark VIP Style Awards? Well now you can and it couldn’t be simpler.

VIP Magazine spoke to Grace Carr, a stylist at Peter Mark, and she filled us in on all of the professional tips and tricks that help create the perfect messy high ponytail.
“You would start off by trying to get your curl done. So you would want to get that wave in your hair first. You want to have it as messy as possible so you don’t need to do proper, perfect curls or anything like that.
“Then to get the messiness and texture going into your ponytail I would back comb it. Back comb all of the top and the sides of your hair in a backwards direction, and spray on a bit of hair spray. Then brush it up and bring it all back into the ponytail and tease your hair with your fingers.
“A top tip for when you’re doing a ponytail is to get one piece of hair and wrap it around your bobbin and clip it. It just makes your pony look a little more presentable!
“Lastly you would spray a little texture spray in your hair and mess it up with your fingers, I recommend the Redken Quick Tease 15 Finishing Spray. It’s good for back combing and for texture,” she said.
Grace advises washing your hair the day before for this style, because it will help keep the pony in place for longer.
