Vogue Williams and Spencer Matthews welcomed their second child, baby Gigi, back in July of this year. After revealing the name shortly after, Vogue has now opened up to say that she ‘vetoed’ husband Spencer’s first choice for the name of their daughter.
Speaking to Ryan Tubridy on air, Vogue shared that Spencer’s choice actually ended up being Gigi’s middle name. “[Her full name is] Gigi Margaux Matthews. Margaux was Spenny’s first choice I think. That got vetoed by me.
“I had a different one and then we both actually changed to Gigi and we just absolutely loved it. I think it is a really nice name.”
Vogue continued, “It is a name that I would like for myself so I thought that would be good enough for Gigi.
“Spenny is fluent in French so [the spelling] is a little French twist.”
This comes after Vogue and Spencer spoke about baby number three on their podcast. Vogue said that not only has she thought about her next child but she even has a name picked out for them.
Going on to reveal that the name is ‘Harlow’, husband Spencer had a few things to say about her choice of name. “I think it sounds a little bit try-hard, personally.”
Continuing on he added: “Like you know those celebrities, not that we’re celebrities, but you know those a-listers who just call their kids stupid names for the sake of it
“Like ‘North’ and ‘Apple’, and a bunch of other s**t that doesn’t really make sense. I kind of feel like Harlow’s on it’s way to that.”
