Vogue Williams has opened up about how her parents handle her fame. The Howth native has risen to fame since first appearing on RTE reality show Fade Street in 2010, and is now an established model and tv presenter.
Vogue said that even after having her own television series for RTE, winning Bear Grylls: Mission to Survive and appearing in countless modelling campaigns, her stepdad Neil Wilson has no idea about how big her career really is.
The 30-year-old’s mum Sandra however, is one of her biggest cheerleaders, and gets upset when she hears harsh comments about her daughter.
Speaking to the Herald Vogue said, “My stepdad, it totally goes over his head, he wouldn’t have a clue about it. They don’t understand a lot of it.
“My mum gets upset sometimes when she reads awful comments about me and she’ll ring me and say, ‘I read this awful thing about you, you’re not to read it’ and then straight away you go to read it,” she said.
Meanwhile, Vogue has recently been named as a contender for a coveted hosting role on RTE’s Dancing With The Stars.
