Vogue Williams and Spencer Matthews have revealed they’re considering buying an island off the coast of Ireland. Ireland’s Eye, a small uninhabited island off the coast of Howth.
The couple currently has their own home in Howth and discussed buying the island when they were at their home recently. The island was sold back in 2019 but is now currently on the market.
Speaking on their podcast, Spencer & Vogue, they shared: “We were in Howth and I was like, ‘Imagine owning Ireland’s Eye’.
Vogue continued, “There’s an island just off Howth…It’s part of Howth practically, it’s called Ireland’s Eye. Spenny said to me, ‘I’m going to buy you that island one day’.
“I said, ‘You can’t actually buy it, it’s not a habitable island. You can’t actually buy it, the person who bought deer park bought the island’.
“Well, he should have never said a word because it has just gone up for sale like it was meant to be.”
Vogue then joked, “I feel like if I buy that island, I’ll be the mayor of Howth, I’m going to get one of those medal necklaces.”
The pair flew back to Ireland last month for the first time in almost two years. At the time, Vogue chatted about how excited they were to be back in Ireland.
“We have finally made it home to Dublin which is just amazing.
“We had to do all the jazz, get the PCR test, we’re currently isolating and then another test and then we can see family.
“I can’t wait to see my brother, my aunties and everything so it’s all very exciting,” she added.
“I’ve just been home organising the house so actually isolating is not that bad because I’ve got so much stuff to do and organise.”
“And just seeing my new house is amazing. I cried when I landed. It’s been since January 2019. I’m finally home.”
