VIP teams up with Pelo to give four lucky readers their confidence back after hair loss

For many people, their hair is a solid part of their identity and a comfort blanket at times, so when it starts to thin or fall out, it can be quite upsetting.

There are countless reasons as to why this can happen. Denise Phillips, owner of Pelo Hairdressing, wants to help people who are going through this to feel their best again and regain their confidence, through the introduction of specialised hair pieces, wigs and extensions.

Denise is a qualified hair loss practitioner with over 20 years of experience as a wig and scalp expert, winning multiple accolades for her services across the country and abroad, too.

Her award-winning Pelo hair and scalp specialist salons, located in Dublin, Newbridge and Belfast, are now offering their renowned hair loss solutions under a recently passed government scheme which provides a grant of up to €500 against the cost of treatment by way of yours or your spouse’s PRSI payments.

Speaking about the news, Denise says, “We are delighted to be offering the grant to our clients who suffer with hair loss that have paid PRSI over the past two years. We look after all the paperwork and lead you through the entire process to make it as easy as possible.

“We’ll be able to tell our clients during their first consultation what solution would work best for them, and what they would be entitled to, right then and there”.

Now, Denise is teaming up with VIP Magazine to help four readers who have suffered hair loss due to stress, menopause, medical reasons, and those going through chemotherapy, to undergo a makeover, and mark the results with a photoshoot in August.

Potential candidates must be available for salon visits on 9th May, June 6th, July 4th and a photoshoot in August TBC. To get involved, tell us how Pelo can help transform your confidence and email rebecca@vipmagazine.ie.

Full details on how to qualify for the grant towards the cost of a hairpiece, wig or hair replacement are available on the Department of Social Protection’s website.
