Last night saw OG islander Amy Hart leave the Love Island villa, and her final chat with ex half-boyfriend Curtis Pritchard left viewers in tears.
Amy has endured a very difficult week after ex-flame Curtis put an end to their romance, telling the 26-year-old that he felt their relationship was lacking something.
Still heartbroken after the split, Amy decided to pull Curtis aside to tell him of her decision to leave the show, explaining that neither of them can move on while she is in the villa.
She explained: “When you love someone you have to let them go.”
Hoping to build a strong friendship once the two get back to their normal lives, Amy added: “Once this is all done we will have the best friendship you have ever seen in your life.”
Later, gathering the rest of the villa around the fire pit, Amy also told them of her news.
“My Love Island journey finished last night when I sat at that fire pit and I looked at it and thought, ‘Even if I had to take the last week, I would take it if it meant I could take those first four weeks over again'”, she said.
The Islanders broke down during the heartfelt speech, and viewers were overcome with emotion.
Fans took to social media to express their heartache over the news, but also praised the air hostess for the way in which she has handled her situation, choosing to put her mental health before the show.
What Amy just did is the realist, most genuine thing I’ve ever seen on reality tv, what an absolute boss. Don’t even know her and I feel proud #LoveIsland
