Up the style stakes at Longitude this weekend!

We take a look at the best style choices to get you festival-ready over the coming days.

If you were one of the lucky few to bag yourself a ticket for Longitude this weekend, make sure you put your best foot forward with top 70’s style. Suede, fringing and feathers have all made a massive comeback, and if you want to fit in with the uber-trendy folk at the festival this weekend, these are the top items you’ll need to be wearing!

Sunnies:
If we happen to be blessed with the weather this weekend, which we can all cross our fingers for, sunnies are an absolute necessity. Besides their basic sun-blocking usage, these little gems can hide a multitude. They’ll help cover those dark circles under your eyes after three days of rocking out to our favourite bands, and nobody will be any wiser about just how wrecked you look! Granted, they’ll probably be stolen off your head from some reveller in the crowd, but at least you’ll be stylish for a while!

We’re loving these black, rounded sunnies from River Island.

Beautiful blouses:
Gone are the days of wearing bright tank tops to festivals; nowadays it’s all about the subdued blousey look. The flowing tops give a romantic feel, and can be instantly dressed up or down, depending on coverups and accessories. Get it right, and you’ll be the style envy of all your fellow concert-goers!

Feathers:
Floral headbands have seen their day, it’s all about the feathers now! Whether you wear them on a hairband, as earrings or around your neck, just get onto that trend.

This simple feathered necklace from New Look is absolutely perfect for that weekend festival vibe!

Fringes:
Fringing made a huge comeback this year on the runways around the world, and it’s an instant way to make an outfit boho-chic: that’s the whole aim of festival attire, right? Everywhere you look you’ll find fringing and tassels, particularly on bags, tops and shoes, but we’d recommend sticking to one piece of this design as any more is total over-kill!

This black, fringed bag from River Island is definitely on our wish list!

Suede:
Suede clothing and footwear is massively in this festival season, but the look can either go either terribly wrong, or extremely right depending on the weather this weekend. If the rain stays off, go for it! If you want to combine two of our top looks, try mixing fringing with suede for an ultimate hit!
