“Unbelievable” guest on Ray D’Arcy this Saturday!

Ray has some of Ireland's best-loved actors as guests on his show this weekend

Ray D’Arcy will welcome two of Ireland’s best known actors on this show this Saturday, as they prepare to tread the boards in John B. Keane’s The Matchmaker at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin. Star of D’Unbelievables Jon Kenny will be joined on the couch by former Glenroe actor Mary McEvoy, as the two stars will chat about life since the end of the shows that made them famous, as well as looking forward to sharing the Gaiety stage together.

Best-selling author and comedy writer Kathy Lette will be in studio to talk about her fascinating career, including her friendships with the likes of George and Amal Clooney, Hugh Jackman and Kylie Minogue. And in an exclusive, Ray will welcome Boy meets Girl and The Danish Girl actor Rebecca Root for her first ever chat show appearance, which will find her talking about her Irish roots and life as the first transgender actor to be cast in a lead role in a mainstream UK sitcom.

Sport will be represented by Tralee jockey Bryan Cooper, fresh from his triumph in the Cheltenham Gold Cup which he won on Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary’s horse, Don Cossack. And comedy will be provided by  Eric Lalor, best known for his role as bad boy Cathal on Fair City.

As ever, it’s a wide and varied mix on Ray’s show for the holiday weekend.
