Una Healy has shared the heartbreaking news that her beloved dog, Charlie, has sadly passed away.
The singer adopted Charlie in 2023 from Limerick Animal Welfare after he was rescued from a puppy farm.
Since welcoming him into her family, Una frequently shared glimpses of their life together, posting photos of Charlie enjoying sunny walks and spending time with her two children, Aoife Belle and Tadhg.
Sharing the news with fans on Monday, Una took to Instagram to announce Charlie’s passing.

She posted a touching video made up of cherished moments with her beloved dog, alongside the caption: “Sleep peacefully, sweet Charlie.”
Soon enough, Una was inundated with messages of support from fellow animal lovers, with many sending their love.
“No greater loss like losing those little footsteps behind you, sending you all the love girly,” wrote fellow musician Aimée.
While another follower commented: “So sorry about Charlie, heartbreaking he was a lovely boy. Thinking of you all and sending so much love.”

Sadly, this is not the first time Una has had to grieve the loss of a beloved family pet.
Her dogs Jackson and Bono, whom she shared with her ex-husband Ben Foden, have also passed away.
Sharing the news of Bono’s passing back in 2023, Una wrote: “Bono joined his brother Jackson in doggy heaven today. I will never forget you both. All the joy and happiness you brought to the three generations of my family.”
Sending lots of love to Una and her family at this time.
