After teasing us with a few days of sunshine unfortunately, our usual dreary September weather is expected to return in full force this weekend, according to Met Éireann.
The Irish National Meteorological Service dampened the dreams of the hopeful few who believed the good weather could last a little longer, when they released status yellow weather warning for today.
They said, “Southerly gales will develop today (Friday) on all Irish coastal waters and on the Irish Sea. Winds will veer southwest later today and will continue gale force on coasts from Erris Head to Rossan Point to Malin Head.”
The warning will remain in place until 9pm tonight, but that doesn’t mean you’re safe from the wind and rain for the rest of the weekend!
It’s expected to be cloudy with the possibility of rain on Saturday and Sunday.
On the bright side, at least you can cosy up and catch up with The Late Late Show tonight!
