This week saw a much anticipated documentary air on Ireland’s own, Donie O’Sullivan. The Kerry native is a well known face in the US as he is a news correspondent at CNN.
The documentary, which aired this week revealed that before the riots that took place in Washington back in January of 2021, Donie had always pre-recorded his segments.
However, as the Capitol riots broke out Donie ended up covering the story live on air as it was unfolding. Speaking about this in the doc he said; “The insurrection was my first live breaking news story.”
The documentary also covers Donie’s early life, his family back home in Ireland, as well as seeing the presenter open up about his mental health struggles.
Since it aired there has been nothing but praise for the doc, as many viewers took to Twitter to share their views.
