Last night saw the semi-final ahead of the Eurovision song contest this weekend, and Derry girl Brooke Scullion was there to represent Ireland! Sadly, despite her fantastic performance of her catchy song ‘That’s Rich’ Brooke did not make it through to the finals.
Posting to Twitter afterwards she said; “Beyond proud of this experience, thank you to my wonderful team. I will never forget @eurovision Onto the next.”
Speaking on her Instagram an emotion Brooke shared her disappointment; “Look it didn’t go our way tonight, we are so so happy with what we did. It just maybe isn’t for me right now, but maybe in the future, maybe bigger things are gonna come.”
Continuing she added; “Thankyou so much to everyone who voted and I couldn’t have done anymore and I’m so happy.”

To those who voted for Ireland’s @Brooke_Scullion, thank you.
To those who didn’t, never speak to me again. #Eurovision— Matthew Joyce | We Are Proud Of You Brooke ❤️🇮🇪 (@MatthewwJoyce) May 12, 2022
Absolutely devastated for Brooke, genuinely have no idea how she didn’t qualify tonight. She gave it her absolute all on the stage tonight and the progress she has made since the Late Late Show back in February has been nothing short of spectacular. Well done @Brooke_Scullion 🇮🇪
