TV3 presenter Anna Daly is delighted since landing her own weekend show, Saturday and Sunday AM. As a weekend alternative to Ireland AM, it means that Anna got exactly what she wished for.
Anna was looking for more consistency with work and to be able to spend more time with her children, and this weekend slot is exactly what she was looking for.
The mother-of-two is due to start the show on August 29th and is currently in rehearsals with her co-hosts: comedian Simon Delany and fellow TV3 presenter Ivan Yeats.
Anna told Evoke.ie that she has always been ambitious and has wanted to be an anchor for a long time now. “As a reporter on a show you’re looking to be the anchor and thats’ what this gives me. It’s a great step career wise and it gives me balance with home life, which is very important.”
Anna is conscious of having enough family time and spending as much time with her children, three-year-old James, and two-year-old Euan, as she can.
“It is important to be at home because the kids are at a stage where they’re both in creche and developing personalities”. “They say things like ‘is it a Mummy and Daddy day or a creche day?’ you feel guilty. This move will make me more conscious of quality time.”
