TV presenter Vincent Browne has received a six month driving ban after racking up the maximum amount of penalty points.
The 72-year-old has received 12 penalty points, for speeding and using his mobile phone, over the course of three years and consequently has been banned from the roads for half a year.
He began his instated ban last month on September 6th, and he’ll be allowed to use the roads again in March 2017.
The legendary broadcaster admitted that he undoubtedly deserves the ban.
“I got penalty points for speeding and for the use of the mobile phone while driving on a number of occasions over three years.” he told the Irish Daily Star. “I believe I thoroughly deserved disqualification from driving for six months from the 6th of September last.”
This isn’t the first time Vincent has been legally reprimanded for his behaviour on the roads.
In 2014, in Dun Laoghaire District Court, he received a €100 fine for using his phone while driving in December 2013.
