Try these Peanut Butter Choc Chip Cookies made with Kefir Natural Yogurt

With the summer holidays in full swing it’s a constant struggle to have snacks to hand and keep the kids busy when they’re not in school. For a solution to both of these problems why not try making these Peanut Butter Choc Chip Cookies with your little ones this week?

Delicious for adults and children alike, this recipe uses Irish Yogurts Clonakilty Kefir Natural Yogurt in the mix. Made with family farm fresh Irish milk, this Kefir Yogurt is enhanced with 16 strains of live cultures as well as being high in protein and 0% Fat.

Here’s how you can make them yourself at home.

Ingredients

  • 360g creamy peanut butter
  • 120g Irish Yogurts Clonakilty Natural Kefir Yogurt
  • 50g lightly packed brown sugar
  • 150g Plain Flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 85g dark chocolate chips

 

Equipment

  • Parchment paper
  • Spatula
  • Large Bowl
  • Baking tray
  • Tablespoon

Method

1. Preheat oven to 180C. Place large piece of parchment paper on a baking sheet. Set aside.

2. Whisk together peanut butter, yogurt, brown sugar, eggs, baking soda and salt until combined. Fold in chocolate chips.

3. Using an ice cream scoop, place dollops of cookie dough on parchment paper, leaving a ½-inch gap in between each cookie. Bake for 10-15 minutes, until cookies just start to crack on the top.

4. Leave to cool and enjoy!
