As Halloween rolls closer and spooky season is in full swing, it’s time for your house to have a haunted makeover.

Cute Ghost Fairy Lights

Alufoliekugeln machen → Forme kleine Kugeln aus Alufolie. Jede Kugel ist der Kopf deines Gespensts. Steck am besten einen Zahnstocher rein, damit das Ganze stabil bleibt. 2. Gespenster formen → Tauche das Klopapier in eine Mischung aus Flüssigkleber und Wasser. Wickel es um die Kugeln, lass oben etwas locker für den „Kopf“. 3. Trocknen lassen → Lass die Gespenster komplett fest werden (dauert ein paar Stunden). 4. Gesicht malen → Mit dem schwarzen Stift kannst du Augen, Mund oder kleine gruselige Details aufmalen. 5. Zur Girlande machen → Steche links und rechts am Kopf kleine Löcher und fädle die Lichterkette durch – so sitzt hinter jedem Gespenst ein Licht. 6. Aufhängen & leuchten lassen → Fertig! All you need it is:

  • Toothpicks
  • Tinfoil
  • Bowl of water
  • Toilet roll
  • String fairy lights
  • Black marker

First, grab your toothpicks and some tinfoil and roll them up into little balls. Then place your tinfoil on top of the toothpicks and grab some sheets of toilet paper. Dip each sheet into the bowl of water.

Once saturated, place over the tin foil and leave it to dry for a few hours. After it’s fully dry, grab a black marker or pen and draw on little ghost faces. Choose a place in your home for the fairy lights to hang and drape your little paper ghosts along the string.

And that’s it – Simple, cheap and effective!

For this next decoration, all you need is:

  • Black card paper
  • Q tips
  • Print, cut out of a Skellington head
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors

Start by searching for a cute Halloween skeleton inspo picture online. Once you have your idea in mind, start to glue the Q-tips to the black card.

Some may need to be cut for the hands and feet. When you have the body complete, all that’s left to add is print cut out of the skull! And there you have it, spooky but simple Halloween poster that the kids will be sure to love.

This next decoration will be sure to add the scare factor to your home – and all you need is:

  • Red Paint
  • White paper
  • Scissors
  • Sellotape

For this spooky decoration, start by applying red paint to the palms of your hands. Grab some white paper and start placing handprints, even spaces apart.

The handprints can be as messy as you want to add more of a spooky effect. Allow them to dry before cutting them out and adding to spaces around your house.

If you are expecting trick or treater the front door would be a perfect place!

Cute Floating Ghost

This DIY is the ultimate Halloween cutesiness to add to your home. These little ghosts are perfect for a less scary Halloween home!

All you need is:

  • White paper
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • String

Once all your supplies are collected, start by drawing the top of the ghost’s body. Then, just below, start by draw a series of circles, similar to a snail shell, and connect them up to the body.

Draw in some little eyes and a spooky mouth before cutting out following the pattern of the swirls. Copy this a few times before grabbing some string and allowing you to hang your little ghost creations to the roof.

Everyone will be obsessed with the easy craft!

Plate Pumpkins

If you want to add some cute pumpkins to your home, but the effort of carving them seems like too much, this DIY craft is the perfect alternative and a great project the whole family can get involved in!

All you need is:

  • Paper plates
  • Orange paint
  • Black paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick

Start by painting the paper plates orange, and don’t worry if you don’t have paint brushes, a dish sponge can be the perfect tool to use. Allow the paint to dry for a few hours while you cut out some pumpkin faces.

They can be cute or scary and everything in-between! All you need to do is glue the eyes and mouth to the plates and there you have it a perfect little pumpkin, with far less pumpkin seeds around the place!

Now that the house has been spooky-fied, its time to create some spooky treats and this first treat is Halloween certified!

For this little treat, all you need is a pack of Oreos – that’s it!

Just grab two and split the two ends from each other. With the other Oreo split one side in half, and pop it between the other Oreo, and there you have it cute Oreo bats. If you wanted to really elevate the snack you could add some M&M eyes to give the full Halloween effect.

Strawberry Ghosts

This next snack is simple and ready to satisfy all chocolate cravings. First melt some white chocolate in a bowl over hot water.

As that melts, lay out your strawberries before dipping each one into the white chocolate mixture. Pop them into the fridge to set for a couple of hours while you start to make the milk chocolate mixture for the eyes and mouth.

Once set, pop a little blob of the melted milk chocolate for the eyes and mouth and serve ready for kids and adults to enjoy.
