Legendary boxing champion, Muhammad Ali sadly passed away in the early hours of this morning.
The 74 year old had been suffering from respiratory problems, and was admitted to a hospital in Pheonix.
He had been battling Parkinson’s disease for almost 30 years, and fought ‘till the very end.
A host of Irish stars have been paying tributes to the late boxer this morning.
Storm Keating has said, “Heartbroken to wake up to the news that our world has lost this man today. A legend and an inspiration to us all. #RIP #MohammedAli. He once said, ‘The service you do for others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth’, and he certainly wasn’t shy to pay his rent during the 74 years he was with us.”
Her husband, Ronan Keating also paid his respects, saying, “Rest in peace champ. A life lived. Champ.”
