Irish comedian Tommy Tiernan has expressed his true feelings about Graham Norton and his long-running BBC chat show.
In a recent interview with our sister magazine TVNow, Tommy spoke about his new programme The Tommy Tiernan Show, and its unpredictable nature.
While discussing his new career venture the comedian said that he feels as if talk shows such as The Graham Norton Show are somewhat stale, and he wanted to do something different.
“With the greatest of respect, Graham has been going for so long now that it feels to me, this is only from my twisted perspective, that when The Graham Norton Show started it was new and it was fantastic and it was wildly funny and it seems to me now it’s got a bit generic.
“We’ve gotten used to it as a thing. Anybody who has been on it has probably been on it before. He’s still an amazingly skilled broadcaster but I wanted to do something different,” he said.
We still love you Graham! The Tommy Tiernan Show starts this Thursday the 5th of January at 10:15pm on RTE One.
