Bob Geldof has opened up about the untimely death of his daughter Peaches.
The 68-year-old singer-songwriter appeared on the Tommy Tiernan Show on Saturday night and bravely chose to speak up about the grief he feels, following her passing 2014.
“Time doesn’t heal; time accommodates and it’s ever-present,” Bob said.
“You’re driving along and you’re at the traffic lights and for no reason whatsoever, the person in question inhabits you and I’ll cry.
“And then I’ll look around to make sure the people next door don’t see me or are taking a photo and posting it or something.”
He continued, “But that happens and that happens to everyone. And so you say, ‘Okay it’s time to cry now’.
“You just do it, you cry to the maximum and then you go, the grief is bottomless and intimate. I didn’t understand why I lost everything I thought to be true.”
Peaches is survived by her husband Thomas Cohen and their two sons, Astala and Phaedra, plus her siblings Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily Hutchence Geldof, Pixie Geldof and Fifi Trixibelle Geldof.
