Amsterdam

A popular city breaks all year around, however, Amsterdam is truly stunning during the spring season.
It is a truly unique city. The city’s layout consists of straight canals scattered with boat houses and medieval streets which are unlike anywhere else.
During spring, you can experience Amsterdam in temperatures of around 10-15 degrees with plenty of sunshine, which is ideal as you will most likely be doing lots of walking or, if you are feeling brave enough, cycling like the locals. Cruising down the river on one of the canal tours is another way to experience the city and learn the history behind its layout and architecture.
Amsterdam museums are not to be missed. The Anne Frank Museum is moving. While it might bring a tear to your eye, it’s interesting and important to learn about. Be sure to book well advance as this tour is almost always sold out. Other recommendations include the Red Light Secrets Museum, Bols Distillery Tour and Van Gogh Museum.
Some of the most aesthetically pleasing food places I have been to have been in this city. Bello Gios By The River is a stunning Italian restaurant on the docks. Its menu is reasonable in price but delicious and its interior is to die for.
Don’t miss – the Bols Distillery Tour.

Spain’s most popular tourist city, and for good reason. The city is full of life, creativity and a mixture of cultures. The temperatures in spring are around 12-19 degrees, therefore it is the perfect getaway from the Irish rain.
This lively city is renowned for its architecture. Particularly that of Antoni Gaudí which can be found dotted throughout the city. While you are here, however, the most famous ones to visit would be the Sagrada Família and Park Güell which showcase his unique style and talent.
Barcelona’s nightlife and culinary scene is exceptional. From beachfront nightclubs to local tapas bars you have a wide selection to choose from. Clubs don’t close until around 5 am so you have plenty of time to do a bit of bar hopping first.
While Barcelona is an amazing city break on its own, it’s lined by some amazing beaches and coastal scenery where you can enjoy great food, and music and watch the sun go down. The city also has some gorgeous parks that you can spend some of your downtime in.
Don’t miss – Montjüic Castle

The cobblestone streets of Florence will transport you back in time and If you are a lover of all things art, history, culture and architecture then Florence is the top destination for you in 2025. Spring is the perfect time to take advantage of the less touristy season in Italy and with temperatures ranging from 15-20 degrees what’s not to love?
Florence is the birthplace of the Renaissance, meaning a huge amount of discoveries, art and culture stemmed from here during the Middle Ages. This means the entire city is packed with a rich history from this time and snippets of this era can be found all over Florence. This includes work from the likes of Michelangelo, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci and Raphael.
The food in Florence is nothing but exceptional, with traditional Tuscan-style cuisine available for you on every street. However, we recommend going slightly off the beaten track to find some hidden gems. Avoid anything that seems overly touristy for the best experience.
Don’t Miss – Duomo (Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore)
