Thousands have lined the streets of Dublin city today to take part in the annual Pride celebrations.
Since Ireland passed the Marriage Equality Referendum back in 2015, June’s Pride celebrations have become bigger and bigger every year, with this year’s parade attracting one of the biggest turnouts ever.
The colourful parade passed through Dublin City this afternoon, ending in a jam packed Smithfield Square, where the concert and speeches are taking place.

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, who has been hosting celebrations all throughout Pride Month, spoke at the gathering this time last year, and has wished the Irish people a Happy Pride again this year.

Irish Defence Forces also celebrate their first year taking part in the parade dressed in full uniform, in a big statement of unity for the country.
