The cast of Derry Girls have reunited ahead of RTE’s Comic Relief this weekend.
Creator Lisa McGee was joined on a Zoom call by Jamie-Lee O’Donnell, Louisa Harland, Nicola Coughlan, Saoirse-Monica Jackson and Dylan Llewellyn, as they ran through some lines.
Sharing a snap of the gang, Lisa simply said, “Rehearsing.”
Fans went wild, revealing they’re counting down the minutes until they see what they’ve been working on.
“This is the content I need to see. Cannot wait! One of the funniest programmes I’ve ever watched,” said one follower.
Another added, “Yes, something to look forward to!”
The Derry Girls cast will be joined by the likes of Paul Mescall and Daisy Edgar-Jones, Amy Huberman and Chris O’Dowd as they attempt to raise money for charity.
Host Deirdre O’Kane said, “After three years of fantastic live fundraising events, it’s so exciting to be bringing this to TV for the first time in Ireland with RTE.
“It’s going to be a memory-making night that’ll raise serious funds to help people who need it most as a result of Covid-19.”
The show will air on RTÉ on Friday 26th of June.
