Carrie Crowley has a brand new project lined up following the success of The Walsh Sisters, and this time she’s turning her attention to some of Ireland’s most inspiring building restorations.
Yes, the actress is set to present a new TG4 series called Buildings Beo.
Beginning on the 19th of November, the show sees Carrie travelling around Ireland to witness how communities are breathing new life into derelict properties.
There are currently more than 166,000 vacant buildings across Ireland, and the new six-part series will shine a light on some of the most inspiring restoration projects taking place around the country.

From historic mills to old schoolhouses, Buildings Beo will celebrate both the structures themselves and the people breathing new life into them.
Described as “a property show with a difference,” Buildings Beo focuses not just on the renovation of heritage buildings, but on the communities and visionaries who are transforming them for the future.
Among the projects featured are the transformation of Hope Castle Gate Lodge in Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan, into a vibrant community library.
The revival of a disused railway building into a digital hub and youth centre in Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim, and the redevelopment of a once fire-ravaged cinema into a modern theatre in the market town of Macroom, Co. Cork.

Currently, Carrie can be seen as Mammy Walsh in The Walsh Sisters, a new six-part drama series based on celebrated Irish author Marian Keyes’ best-selling novels about a chaotic, dysfunctional but deeply lovable family of five sisters, a devout mother and a bemused father.
Part based on the blockbuster novels Rachel’s Holiday and Anybody Out There, the six-part series follows the lives of sisters Anna, Rachel, Maggie, Claire and Helen as they navigate the peaks and troughs of their late 20s and 30s.
Earlier this year, Marian Keyes said: “It’s impossible to overstate how thrilled I am with this production. Stefanie Preissner’s scripts alchemised the vibe of my novels into a new and compelling thing.
“The cast is equally tremendous, and Mammy and Daddy Walsh are beautiful together. These amazing people have captured the spirit of my books, and they’re transformed into something new and exciting.”
