The Traitors Ireland fans think they’ve spotted a spoiler mistake

Spoiler warning!

Following the popularity of the original UK version, as well hit editions in other countries, The Traitors Ireland has already become a favourite on Irish TV, and after only three episodes it’s already got people talking.

RTÉ has been praised for the quality production of the show, as well as their ability to blend Irish culture into the game.

However, Tuesday night’s episode may have included a very small but very significant slip on their part. And viewers were quick to catch it.

Tuesday night saw two more leaving Slane Castle, after Niall was murdered by the Traitors and Nina was banished.

Of course both of these eliminations were fully intended to be broadcast, however during this episode some very observant viewers noticed something that they probably definitely weren’t supposed to see.

Throughout the show, the audience is shown a wall that is covered with portraits of each contestant. Every time a contestant is murdered or banished, a large red X appears across their portrait.

On Tuesday night viewers were once again shown the wall, but this time a little oopsie by the editors may have spoiled an upcoming elimination.

As the camera zoomed in on the portrait of contestant Vanessa, it was clear enough to viewers that the portrait beside hers had been marked with an X. That portrait belonged to Linda, who, as of right now, is still very much taking part in the game.

It’s likely that the editors used b-roll taken after Linda was eliminated, and accidentally included it in an episode that she was still an active contestant in.

Although the shot was only a few seconds long, enough viewers noticed the mark over her portrait to turn this into a pretty sticky situation for producers.

Hopefully nobody’s gotten too attached to Linda, as it doesn’t look like she’ll be on the show for much longer.
