Rosie Connolly has revealed how she plans to include her late dad, Peter, in her wedding day.
Her father tragically passed away when she was 18-years-old, however she’s planning to honour him during the ceremony when she marries Paul Quinn this summer.
Speaking exclusively to VIP Magazine, the top blogger said, “We’ll have a photograph of him on the alter – well, we’re not getting married in a church but where we’ll be saying our vows, just so I can see his face and feel he’s part of the day.
“I hope to do something with the wedding favours with regard to the RNLI, because dad drowned and they were fantastic, so I’d like to give back to them in some way.
“My uncle, dad’s brother, will be there too, which i’m delighted about because he’s my closest link to him now.”
She continued, “I wish my dad was still around, but instead I feel thankful for the time I did have with him, and how he shaped me and my sisters into who we are.”
Rosie’s stepdad Billy will walk her down the aisle, as he did with her sisters too.
“He finds it very emotional,” she said.
“He says he doesn’t know how he’ll keep it together because I’m the baby of the family.”
