As the speculation continues over who will be competing on the Irish version of Dancing With The Stars, it’s been confirmed that no celebrities taking part in the upcoming series of Masterchef will be permitted to take to the ballroom dance floor.
Production company Shanawil are responsible for both shows, and although the contestants of Masterchef have been known for some time now, the programme won’t air until January- the same time as Dancing With The Stars.
Speaking to the Herald an insider said, “No one from Masterchef will be appearing on Dancing With The Stars.
“Masterchef might have already started filming, but it won’t be on the air until January. If someone was on both shows at the same time, it would be too much of a good thing. You don’t want viewers to get sick of you.”
So this rules out Nadia Forde, Colm O’Gorman, Holly Carpenter, Samantha Mumba, Mundy, Simon Delany, Niamh Kavanagh, Evelyn Cusak and Oisin McConville. The celebrity pool is dwindling- who will take part? We’re dying to know!
