Brenda Fricker won fans over with her top notch acting performances in films like My Left Foot, and The Field. But now she’s winning them over with her hilarious Late Late Show appearance.
Fans were thrilled by her hilarious quips during her chat with host Ryan Tubridy. In the interview, Brenda wasn’t afraid to redirect Ryan, which left the audience in stitches.
When the presenter brought up a reported memoir, Brenda didn’t give anything away, asking to talk about her latest acting role in Holding, the film adaption of Graham Norton’s novel . Saying: “Can we talk about Holding now? That’s why I’m here,”
Eventually confessing: “There’s talk of memoirs and things like that, but you said it so seriously that you frightened me!”
Revealing that she was writing parts of it on her phone, Ryan began asking for more details, but Brenda held strong, saying: “That’s a very long story, we don’t have time for that Ryan, can we talk about Holding?”
She also brought her beloved dog, setting up a water bowl for him beside Ryan’s desk.
Fans were in stiches at the scene, and took to Twitter to share their delight.

#brendafricker #thelatelate Really cool down to earth interview from Brenda Fricker tonight on the Late Late Show. Would love to read her autobiography whenever she finalises it. Also should be given a Bafta Tv Award for her monologue alone in Holding to add to her Oscar. ☘ pic.twitter.com/JsUw0lkW7R
