Twink has shared the heartbreaking moment her beloved pet dog Teddy passed away, admitting that she’s taking the loss with great sorrow.
Twink received the devastating news last week that the little yorkie didn’t have much longer left to live. Explaining, she told the Irish Sun:
“My soul mate in my film, TV and theatres and constant loving companion tiny Yorkie… Teddy Bear, out of the blue was given a week to live. I was completely shocked and devastated at the news”
After a brief battle, Teddy passed peacefully in his forever home on Sunday. Describing the moment he crossed the rainbow bridge, Twink likened it to something out of a ‘fairy-tale’.
“After our little chat … out came his little paw to play a high five game of ours. I laughed out loud… then praised him again”
“Then noticed how frail he suddenly seemed.. I turned around to tell him I would be back in seconds… and noticed he had shifted himself too near the fire, I lifted his tiny little head.. And said ‘Oh let me move you back a tad sweetheart”
“I bent down to kiss him.. I told him I loved him more than he could ever know …. He looked up at me with those big brown pools of eyes.. Raised his little play paw… like a goodbye. Gave me a little smile (one of his party pieces)”
“And his tiny tiny little head just flopped gently back Into the cup of my hand.. And he was gone ..literally…. as the church bells across the road rang out 12.00. I thought to myself… leave it to Ted to put his own twist on his own fairy-tale life”
“The clock is striking 12.00… the Ball is over… only this time the prince has left the Ball!”
Anyone familiar with Twink is also familiar with little Teddy too. The pair were inseparable, with Teddy appearing on multiple red carpets and photoshoots alongside his glamorous owner.
Explaining that nothing can prepare you for the loss of your pet, Adele added:
“All the days and nights I had mentally prepared myself for this… had been a waste of time. The end is too painful and too final to be of any use to you when the moment is actually there.”
