The Coronas are giving out free ice cream around Ireland to celebrate their new album

The Coronas are celebrating the release of their new album in a very unique way this week.

While the usual signings and concerts can’t happen right now, the band will be travelling around Ireland in an ice cream van giving out free Murphy’s ice cream (while maintaining social distance) and selling the new album.

“With everything that’s going on at the moment we thought it might add a tiny bit of positivity into the world,” they said. “We can’t wait to get out and see some of our fans and friends around the country that we haven’t seen since before lockdown.”

They also urged fans to respect social distancing, wear masks and wash their hands to protect themselves and others from the “unfortunately named virus”.

The boys will be visiting ten locations in four days, giving a lot of fans opportunities to see them. The dates are as follows:

Thurs 30 July
4pm – The Vinyl Lounge at Golden Discs, Patrick Street, Cork

Fri 31 July
10am – Mitchelstown, Cork
2pm – Dolan’s Warehouse, Limerick
6pm – Murphy’s Ice Cream, High Street, Galway

Sat 1 August
10am – Murphy’s Ice Cream, Wicklow Street, Dublin
12noon – The Millpond Dundrum T.C. Dublin w Golden Discs
4pm – Liffey Valley S.C. Dublin w Golden Discs

Mon 3 August
12pm – The Parade, Kilkenny
3pm – City Square S.C. Waterford w Golden Discs

The ice cream truck is decorated with the albums cover art so it’s hard to miss, keep an eye out on the roads!
