Yesterday saw some of our favourite celebs attending yet another awards ceremony from home. Normal People stars, Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-Jones tuned in to The Critics Choice Awards virtually yesterday evening.
The pair were both nominated at the awards for their performances in hit show, Normal People. The show itself was up for Best Limited Series with Netflix’s The Queen’s Gambit taking the gong on the night.
Paul Mescal was nominated for Best Actor In A Limited Series and was up against some big names including John Boyega, Hugh Grant, Chris Rick, Morgan Spector and Mark Ruffalo.
Sadly for Paul he didn’t win this time, with John Boyega chosen for his role in Small Axe.
Daisy was also nominated for Best Actess In A Limited Series and she too was up against some big names. Anya Taylor-Joy was the winner for her role in The Queen’s Gambit, but with Shira Haas, Tessa Thompson, Michaela Coel and Cate Blanchett also nominated she was up against some stiff competition.
Despite the fact there was no in real life ceremony, both stars still pulled out all the stops for their outfits on the night.
Daisy looked incredible in a cherry red dress from Oscar DeLaRenta. It was an ideal choice that worked perfectly when you know you’ll mostly be seen from the waist up with it’s deep neckline and dramatic, voluminous sleeves.
Sharing snaps of her outfit from the night she said; “Thank you @criticschoice for this nomination!!! Thank you thank you @oscardelarenta for this dress I LOVE it.”
“Well done my NP team, @paul.mescal and Lenny, wish we could be together.”
Paul was also looking incredibly dapper on the night, opting for a monochrome look from Prada.
Sharing his outfit to Instagram the Irish actor said; “Thank you to the amazing teams @prada and @cartier for dressing me tonight for @criticschoice”
