The best fitness wearables on the market

A few years ago, fitness tech watches might have been reserved only for professional athletes, but in 2026, they are set to be one of the biggest trends to hit our markets.

People used to only see them as necessary if you were training for an elite sport or running a marathon, but now, they do a lot more than that. These new wearable fitness technologies help us check in and stay on track with our overall health. From tracking sleep patterns to monitoring our heart rate, and even managing stress, these appliances are no longer reserved for athletic members of the community.

And whether you are smart smartwatch enthusiast and looking to upgrade, or vowed to be more health-conscious in 2026, we have you covered with a breakdown of some of the best health technologies on the market!

Oura Ring 4 – €399

The Oura Ring is one of the newer styles of wearables on the market. Different from the classic smart watch design, the Oura Ring is simply a ring that you wear. With more people trying to cut down on their screen time and reduce the number of screens they use, this ring is the perfect choice.

Completely screenless, the Oura Ring connects to your phone, allowing you to see the data collected there rather than on the appliance itself. This titanium-made ring tracks your heart rate on a 24/7 basis, while also tracking sleep, movement and can read your level of stress.

What’s great about the Oura Ring, too, is the women’s health feature it comes with. This allows you to get better insights into your cycles and create better predictions based on your body’s activity.

However, while the ring has some very promising health monitoring benefits, one downside is that, along with purchasing the ring, you must sign up for their membership bundles. With this membership, you can gain full access to your data and any insights and trends that Oura has found. The memberships cost around €5.99 a month or €69.99 a year.

Garmin Lily 2 – €299

With Garmin being one of the leading brands in the smartwatch industry, it’s no surprise that their Garmin Lily 2 is included on this list!

This Garmin watch is different from others that Garmin has produced, as this product focuses on style but has all the same great health benefits. The perfect watch for those who don’t want the big bulky look!

As the focus moves towards screenless technologies, the Garmin Lily screen only lights up when activated by touch!

This watch has all the same great benefits as other smart appliances, from sleep tracking to step count and heart monitoring, but includes stress tracking features along with tools for mindful breathing and meditation!

The battery life is great on this too, with it lasting five days on one singular charge!

If you are looking for a basic smartwatch to keep on top of your health that also has a sleek look, then this is your perfect match!

WHOOP 4.0 – €399

The WHOOP 4.0, is a different take on your classic smartwatch. Similar to the Oura Ring, the WHOOP follows a screenless design and focuses on data collection rather than alerts and high visuals.

The WHOOP watch links to an app on your phone where you can see all the data it has collected. It tracks heart rate, sleep stages, strain score, which measures daily physical effort based on your activity levels throughout the day, can give you a recovery score and monitors your respiratory rate to help better manage and identify stress and illnesses.

Like the Oura Ring, you need a subscription, and it’s a vital part of the watch. The watch comes as part of the membership deal and there is many you can choose from.

On a more positive note, the battery life is excellent with it lasting several days on one charge.

Now if you are just looking for the standard tracking steps, and watching your heart rate, this watch probably isn’t for you. But if you do want a more comprehensive look at your health and have specific areas you want to monitor, it is well worth the money!

Xiaomi Smart Band 9 – €42.99

This Xiaomi smartwatch stands out in a huge crowd of smart appliances because of its affordability and functionality!

Unlike the other smart technologies we looked at, this watch is only €42.99, and its features are incredible!

It has all the same features as other watches on the market, as you can track your steps, monitor your heart, and your sleep. It is also water resistant and has over 150 sports mode and even includes a women’s health feature.

While this might not be the most accurate of data, it is perfect if you are someone who just wants to count their steps and see how much or how little sleep they get every night.
