Model Thalia Heffernan has spoken out about her own personal struggle with stress and anxiety.
Fresh off her big win at the Peter Mark VIP Style awards last week, Thalia revealed on 2FM’s Breakfast Republic today how she deals with anxiety while living in the public eye.
She uses guided meditation every night to help her to unwind and de-stress, and her advice for people suffering with anxiety is to “switch off” and “turn your phone off.”
“I think it’s just age for me. I’ve grown up, and I’ve started to learn how to process and deal with it,” she said.
The former Dancing with the Stars contestant is also eager to let people know of the misconceptions of social media. She previously told VIP Magazine about how her own self-esteem was lowered by the effects of the fake world of social media.
“The world has evolved to be this social media multi-million dollar industry, that is so false and so intangible. People don’t realise just how false it really is,” she told Breakfast Republic.
