Suzanne Jackson has penned a letter to her younger self, as she celebrates her 35th birthday.
The blogger turned businesswoman is celebrating her big day in Dubai with husband Dylan O’Connor, and has been reflecting on time gone by.
Reminiscing over the last number of years, and sharing some words of wisdom, Sue began, “I can’t believe I’m 35, where have the years gone.
“If I could write my 18-year-old self a little letter, it would be this; fail and learn from it. Get back up, dust yourself off and start again. Nothing great ever comes from your comfort zone.
“Love, but don’t take any sh*t. Learn to wait for the right man, the one who will look at you like you’re golden and will love you anyway, even with your flaws.
“Surround yourself with the right people, for those you surround yourself with, you become. Ignore the naysayers. Hurt people, hurt people.
“Listen to your mum, she really does know best. And lastly, go for it. put yourself out there. Say yes to every opportunity even though you may not have the slightest idea how to do it and learn along the way.
“In the end, everything will be ok, and if it’s not, it’s not the end.”
The happy couple are set to enjoy another few days abroad, before returning home to Ireland.
We hope they have a wonderful trip.
