Women have a reputation for being the emotional ones, who wear their hearts on their sleeve, but this survey may mean quite the gender stereotype reversal.
In a survey of over 1000 people, it was revealed that men say ‘I love you’ first.
Not only that, but they are also more likely to profess this in the early stages.
The research from Mattress Online revealed that men are twice as likely to declare love after just one week.
Women are more likely to wait a while to reveal their true feelings.
One-third of women say it between the first and third month, while the majority wait until they surpass the three-month mark to say ‘I love you’.
Though only 5% of men say the words in the first week, it’s more than double the number of women, at just 2%.
