An exclusive screening of Dukale’s Dream documentary took place last Thursday evening in The Millhouse Theatre, Dundrum.
Dukale’s Dream was inspired by an experience World Vision ambassadors Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness had while in Ethiopia.
While visiting the Yirgacheffe region in Ethiopia – the birthplace of coffee- Hugh and Deborra Lee were inspired by 27 year old coffee farmer Dukale and his wife Adanech.
Hugh helped Dukale on his farm experiencing poverty first hand and the incredible hard work Dukale undertakes on a daily basis to provide the very basic means for his family.
Upon returning to New York Hugh Jackman couldn’t just talk about Dukale but rather feels compelled to act upon what he has witnessed and these post trip actions are delightfully highlighted in this documentary.
The documentary attracted quite a few well known faces including; James Butler, Lorraine Keane, Adam Weafer, Karl Bowe, and Rebecca O’Byrne.
A great night was had by all!
