Storm Keating has a long slog of rehabilitation before her as she recovers from a major spine operation.
The 39-year-old had to undergo emergency spine surgery this month after suffering a rare spine condition in which a disc prolapsed, her situation then worsened when she was told she developed Cauda Equina Compression Syndrome, which required immediate surgery in order to avoid permanent damage.
Sharing an emotional statement on social media post-op Storm said:
“It’s been a long and trialling week, the most frightening week of my life.”

Now, Storm has shared that her ordeal is still far from over, as she will now embark on a year-long journey to getting back to where she was. Speaking with The Mirror she said:
“You’ve got to give the nerves 12 months post-surgery”
Willing to put in the work it takes to get better again, the Australian native added: “It’s a long time to wait but between now and then I’m on a rigorous programme that will ease up as I get stronger.”
With husband Ronan by her side, Storm is sure to make a full recovery in no time as she has recently praised him for his help.
“Ronan is possibly one of the most hands-on dads I’ve ever known in my life. He does everything.”
“He’s taken on everything from the cooking and the cleaning, the nap times, bed and bath times – he’s unbelievable.”
