Another week, another exciting premiere at the Lighthouse Cinema!
Irish stars, including Imelda May and the man of the hour Pat Ingoldsby, stepped out in all their glory for the launch of Seamus Murphy’s The Peculiar Sensation of being Pat Ingoldsby.
Other attendees included Denise McCormack, David Mitchell and Clint Drieberg.
Directed by Seamus Murphy and produced by Tom Burke, the film examines Irish writer Pat Ingoldsby’s unique world.
His poems and candid anecdotes bear witness to a visceral relationship with his beloved Dublin, fellow Dubliners and anything that catches his interest.
While personal challenges, a sensitive humanity and a lifetime as a maverick have taught him to harness reality and reach well beyond it to avenge the banal with absurd magic – healing him along the way.
An insightful Q&A was held afterwards with both Seamus and Pat himself which captivated all in attendance.
Seamus Murphy’s THE PECULIAR SENSATION OF BEING PAT INGOLDSBY will hit Irish cinemas on November 4.
