“Some respect for Brian please!” Kerry Katona criticises Vogue Williams over Brian McFadden comments

Kerry Katona, Brian McFadden’s first wife has jumped to his defense, criticising Vogue Williams for the comments she recently made about the ex Westlife singer.

Speaking on her podcast with her husband Spencer, Vogue opened up about her past relationship, with Spencer admitting that seeing Vogue’s marriage certificate to Brian in their home makes him feel uncomfortable. Going on to speak about it, Vogue said:

“I’m so glad I don’t have to look at the safe. Sometimes I forget it ever happened (the marriage).”

Continuing on she added: “Let’s bin that one (the marriage certificate). It makes me feel a little bit sick in my mouth.”

Having got wind of Vogue’s comments, Kerry Katona has expressed her disappointment, saying in her weekly column in New! Magazine that Vogue should have a little more respect for Brian.

Starting off, she said:

“I have children with the man (Brian) so I’d never slag him off like that – and her saying that did make me feel a bit sad for my girls.

“The truth is, I get where Vogue’s coming from – none of us are ever proud of our exes, but she shouldn’t diss him.

“If Vogue hadn’t met Brian, no one would know who she is today. She wouldn’t be a celeb, she wouldn’t have met her now-husband Spencer Matthews and she wouldn’t be making those comments.

“Some respect for Brian please! He’s not my best mate, but I don’t think she should have said that!” Kerry added.

Kerry and Brian tied the knot in 2002, staying married for 4 years while welcoming two girls, Molly and Lily-Sue to the world at that time. The two got divorced and some time later Brian met and married media personality Vogue Williams, with them divorcing in 2017.

Brian is currently engaged to his partner Danielle Parkinson, while Kerry just announced her engagement to her boyfriend, Aussie actor Ryan Mahoney, this week.
