The time has finally come for RTÉ presenter Sinead Kennedy to bid farewell to The Today Show as she embarks on her maternity leave.
The Cork native and her husband Conor Kirwan annouced that they were expecting their second child earlier this year with the pair already being proud parents to their two-year-old daughter Indie.
Taking to Instagram, Sinead paid tribute to her time on The Today Show as she wrapped her final show for the year.
“The last hurrah… for a little while anyway,” she began her heartfelt post.

“What a lovely way to leave things for now doing a full shift, the whole week, on RTE Today with my fav Dáithí Ó Sé… you’re a dream to work with and you know I’ll miss the craic for the next while.
“Enjoy being back spending so much time in the real capital Maura Derrane.”
Taking a minute to reflect, Sinead added: “Where does the time go? This is already my 4th season on the show! It’s mad.
“I love working on it, no day is the same; the guests, regular contributors and viewers are fab and the team are a joy. The old adage is true, do something you love and you never work a day in your life.
“I’ve been working in TV 20 years now, have gained so much experience and met the most incredible people. I’m very grateful for all of it.
“But I’m off to live another dream and add to our little family and there simply are no words for how happy and thankful I feel to be able to say that.
“Cheers to you all for your gorgeous messages and support, they’re much appreciated.”
With her due date fast approaching, we expect Sinead to be taking it easy for the next while.
