Christmas has become all-consuming: from the songs on the radio in the car, to the ads popping up on your browser, to the constant stream of films and shows on TV- you simply can’t escape it.

Whether you’re someone who wasn’t that Christmas crazy to begin with, or someone who loves the merriment, you have to admit sometimes it does become a bit much.

This series is brand new to Disney, and could be the perfect distraction from all the festive TV polluting your mind. The fantasy action series follows sorcerer Willow as he leads a group of misfit heroes through an unimaginable world.

The Patient

If you’re looking for something a little less gleeful, and a bit more gritty, this is the series for you. The psychological thriller surrounds a therapist who is held hostage by a serial killer patient.

Children Of The Underground

A true story of vigilante Faye Yager who protected hundreds of mother’s and children from brutal and abusive husbands when the courts would not.

Lady Chatterley’s Lover

This film has your share of romance and heart break, without any of the added jingle bells! An aristocrat who is unhappy in her marriage pursues an affair with her estates gamekeeper.

Troll

Take yourself away from the hallmarked comfort of Christmas for something totally different. An ancient troll comes to life in a Norwegian mountain, and a group of heroes must stop it from wreaking havoc.

This Australian comedy series is sure to give you a good laugh, and keep you entertained until you can bear to think of Christmas again.

The Batman
