She’s on the move! Rosanna Davison shares sweet video of daughter Sophia taking first steps

Rosanna Davison has shared the sweetest clip of daughter Sophia taking her first steps.

The model and her husband Wes welcomed their little girl to the world last November, and now she’s officially on the move.

“And she’s off,” Rosanna said alongside a pic of their little girl strolling through some grass, grasping her hand for support.

A short while later, Rosanna posted a video of Sophia pulling her through the house, joking about how Sophia looks “like she’s drunk, saying random little words.”

“I’ve said it about all of Sophia’s stages, from being a tiny newborn dot up until now, but this is definitely my favourite. She’s so sweet, funny and affectionate,” she beamed.

Rosanna and Wes dreamed of having a family for years, but sadly endured 14 devastating miscarriages before welcoming Sophia via surrogacy in 2019, and then giving birth to twin boys in 2020.

Speaking to VIP Magazine she said, “You go to a very dark place at the time. When a miscarriage would start, you just have to mentally drag yourself through.

“If you’re trying to have a baby, everyone says stop trying it’ll happen – and in our case it did – but when you’re going through it, you’re always aware of your cycle and the window of opportunity to get pregnant and it’s very hard to switch that off.

“What I’d say to people is just to keep up that hope. I was drawn towards stories of hope and success and always thought well if it can happen for them it can happen for us.”

Rosanna and Wes kept their fertility struggles private and when she announced she was expecting Sophia via surrogacy in 2019, recalls one hurtful message she received.

Urging people to think before they type, she said, “You never actually know what’s going on in people’s lives, behind closed doors.

“I remember a comment when we announced our surrogacy journey with Sophia and someone said maybe I didn’t want to get fat or pregnant myself and I just thought, if only you knew how much I’m desperate to be pregnant myself.”

Speaking to VIP Magazine, she added, “Things like that do come along, but I don’t let them bother me too much. I know the truth and I know how I feel. I’ve shared my story in all its honesty with nothing hidden.

“It’s important to be honest and real and show that your life isn’t all perfect. At the moment it’s a struggle to look after three babies and I’m trying to be as honest about that as possible. It’s not easy.”

Rosanna tries to ignore any negativity that comes her way, instead, focusing on the kindness of others and her personal relationships in the real world.

“I wouldn’t say I’m tough. I’m still as sensitive as anyone else would be to it but I focus on the bigger picture now, which is what’s the most important thing and for me, that’s looking after my children, making sure they’re happy and protected,” she said.

“Everything else just seems a little bit less important and I don’t dwell on the small things any more. I just try to exclude that negativity from my life.

“Once you focus on what’s important to you and what’s relevant, then negativity and a passing comment from someone who’s having a bad day will not be important to you in a year or a week.”
