Doireann Garrihy has shared an emotional tribute to Caoimhe O’ Brien, who sadly lost her battle with cancer last week.
Doireann, along with her Spin 1038 co-presenter Martin Guilfoyle, met Caoimhe last year, giving her a huge reason to smile she she continued her brave journey.
The star of The Doireann Project took to Instagram today to speak out about the news that Caoimhe had passed on, saying they would do tomorrow night’s Zoo Crew with Caoimhe ‘in mind from start to finish.’

“We had the pleasure of meeting Caoimhe and her family at Christmas when we were working in Dungarvan, and were blown away by her positivity and strength. She never stopped smiling from the moment we met her.
“Tomorrow night, we’ll do the Zoo Crew with you in mind from start to finish, Caoimhe. Rest In Peace.
