Ireland football star Shay Given celebrated the christening of his baby girl Gracie, with his fiancee Becky Gibson this weekend. The doting parents welcomed their first daughter last December.
The event took place in London’s Westminster Abbey, and Becky posted an adorable pic to social media of her little family enjoying the special day. Alongside the pic she wrote, “Many thanks to @paul_arbuthnot for welcoming our angel to Gods family at the ever beautiful @wabbey @No1shaygiven.”
Writing on her Facebook page, the 30-year-old described her little girl as “the angel in all of our eyes,” she also went on to give further details about the christening, calling it a “beautiful day”.
“We had the most beautiful day at Westminster Abbey christening this little perfect soul. Thank you to everyone who came to share our special day and all our family and friends who have supported us each day to help us be where we are now. Gracie is a lucky lady to be blessed with so many kind hearts in her life,” she said.
The new mum also announced that she’s loving parenthood, even the tougher times.
“Parenthood is the hardest and the most amazing thing anyone will ever do.
“It takes active effort to remain calm, conscious, gentle and loving, even in the depth of sleep deprivation and the confusion of not knowing what to try next. You have to enjoy it all,” she wrote.
