Sharon Corr split from her husband of 18 years Gavin Bonner, last year.
Whilst on the Today Show this week with Maura and Daithi they broached the subject of her divorce and how she was adjusting to single life. She revealed that when it comes to dating she doesn’t “even know where to begin.”
“I haven’t started dating yet. It’s a new situation for me. I haven’t been on the market for 23 years, I don’t even know where to begin.”
The presenters jokingly questioned if she’d find a Spanish man as Sharon is in lockdown in Madrid which has been her home for two years.
“They’re definitely very handsome. There is a lot of eye candy on the street.”
While on the topic of Spain they asked her how she was coping in lockdown there, as it has been one of the worst affected countries in the world since the Covid-19 pandemic.
Sharon revealed; “It was very severe here and we couldn’t go out except to go out to the supermarkets with a mask and gloves on and police watching constantly.”
“You had this feeling on the street that you were a criminal just to walk outside and I’m sure that wasn’t the intention but that’s kind of how you feel when you’re a woman on your own confronted with policemen with guns and masks and you can’t see their faces.”
