Well, this isn’t something you hear every day!
According to researchers at the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies (DIAS), Taylor Swift’s concerts in Dublin triggered seismic activity that could be felt as far away as Co Wexford.
Yes, earlier this month the global pop star took to the Aviva stadium where she played three sold-out gigs.
However, there was one song in particular, which really seemed to get the crowd going.

According to reports, Love Story generated the largest seismic activity across all three nights.
While activity was also recorded during Taylor’s performance of Shake It Off.
The hit song had an observed frequency (2.66Hz) matching the song’s beats per minute (BPM) of 160.
Eleanor Dunn, a PhD candidate at DIAS, led the research on Dublin’s “Swiftquakes” as they are referred to.
She, along with her team buried 21 seismometers in gardens around the Aviva stadium, specifically to measure the seismic impact of the concerts.
Dublin is not the only city that has recorded “Swiftquakes”, as the phenomenon has also been recorded in Edinburgh, Cardiff and London in the UK.
Absolute mad scenes altogether!
So, were you one of the lucky ones who caused a bit of a seismic stir?
