Last month it was annouced that Irish actor Patrick Gibson would be starring in a brand new Dexter prequel series.
And now we finally know who will be joining him!
Yes, American actress Sarah Michelle Gellar, who you may recognise from Buffy The Vampire Slayer, will be the boss of serial killer Dexter Morgan in the new series.

The events of the 10-part series will take place in 1991 Miami when Dexter must learn to channel his bloodthirsty urges.
The series will see also Dexter adopt a code designed to help him find and kill people who he feels deserve to be eliminated from society without getting on law enforcement’s radar – thanks to the guidance of his father.
Sarah will be playing Tanya Martin, the Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) chief at the Miami Metro Police Department opposite future blood spatter analyst Morgan, aka Patrick.
Taking to Instagram to announce the news, Sarah shared: “It’s going to be a bloody good ride.”
Joining Patrick and Sarah are Heathers and True Romance actor Christian Slater and Sex And The City actor James Remar who had previously played the role in the Dexter show, which ran for eight seasons between 2006 and 2013.
The new series will also see Senior Year star Molly Brown play Dexter’s younger sister, Debra Morgan.
Patrick is best known for playing Nikolai Lantsov in the fantasy Netflix series Shadow and Bone and has also appeared in The Tudors and Tolkien.
He was even awarded the Rising Star award at the Irish Film and Television Awards in 2017, so we are buzzing to see him take on such a big role!
