Sarah Jessica Parker has never been one to keep quite about her love of all things Ireland, and today, is no different.
The American actress, who has a holiday home in Donegal, has been keeping up with Irish literature, and enjoyed the debut release from author Lisa McInerney.
Despite being busy working on new tv series Divorce, Sarah found time to curl up with The Glorious Heresies, and after reading it, believes the writer is up there with the best authors Ireland has ever produced.
The novel, which won The Baileys’ Women’s Prize for Fiction 2016 as well as the Desmond Elliot Prize 2016, went down a treat for the star.
Taking to Instagram, the actress said, “Available August 9th. Tim Duggan Books. A book and tale to be reckoned with. Ms. McInerney should pull up a seat next to McPherson, McCann, McCourt and all the Irish greats. I gobbled this up and mourned the last page. Completely fulfilling, devastating and perfectly captures life in the city of Cork. “Fecking” Brilliant. X, SJ.”
Well if it’s good enough for Sarah Jessica Parker…
