Saoirse Ronan has been announced as the celebrity host of Saturday Night Live early next month.
SNL tweeted the news last night, along with announcing that Irish band U2 will be performing on the same night.
The 24-year-old will host the long running live show for the first time on December 2nd.

The Brooklyn star has yet to comment on the announcement, but we cannot wait to tune in!
Saoirse recently spoke out about the sexual assault allegations swirling around Hollywood at the moment, saying her Irish parents sheltered her from a lot of the ‘predators’ in the film industry.
