Saoirse Ronan has been nominated for a British Academy of Film and Television award.
The Irish actress has been lauded by fans and critics for her moving portrayal of Jo March in Greta Gerwig’s 2019 film adaptation, Little Women.
Saoirse has long been considered a Hollywood heavyweight, receiving her first Oscar nomination in 2007 for her breakout role in Atonement, and no less than five BAFTA nominations over the course of her career.
The actress missed out at the annual Golden Globes earlier this week, so let’s hope that her depiction of the headstrong March sister will be enough to bag a BAFTA win.
For the Globes, Saoirse stunned in a custom Celine gown, complete with a thigh-high split.
She kept her hair simple and natural with just a slight wave and some volume at the front. Make-up on the night was all Chanel, with a barely-there lip and subtle copper tones on the eyes.
Little Women is in cinemas now.
