Saoirse Ronan bags Oscar nomination for role in Little Women

Saoirse Ronan has bagged for fourth Oscar nomination for her role in Little Women.

The Irish star is up against Renée Zellweger, Charlize Theron, Scarlett Johansson and Cynthia Erivo, as they compete for the Leading Actress award.

Little Women, which also stars Emma Watson, Meryl Streep and Timothee Chalamet, has been nominated for Best Picture, making it a hugely exciting day for everyone involved

The movie has been widely appreciated and adored, cleaning up with multiple nominations throughout awards season.

Saoirse has already been recognised at the Golden Globes, Critics’ Choice Awards and received a nomination for the BAFTA’s too.

We hope this is the year Saoirse goes home with an Academy Award.
